In addition to five Airbus A350-900s on order, SWISS will receive a further five from 2027 onwards. The new SWISS A340 fleet will gradually be delivered, complete with the new ‘SWISS Senses’ cabin interior, between summer 2025 and the end of 2031.
On Thursday (December 5, 2025), Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) announced that they will take delivery of an additional five Airbus A350-900s from 2027. This is in addition to five of the aircraft already on order, which will gradually be delivered, complete with the new ‘SWISS Senses’ cabin interior, from summer 2025 through the end of 2031. The A350-900 is one of the most advanced and efficient long-haul aircraft available on the market today. The widebody twinjet aircraft is highly fuel efficient and low on carbon emissions, with state-of-the art engines also delivering a 50 percent smaller noise footprint compared to previous generation aircraft.
In Thursday’s announcement, SWISS’ CEO, Jens Fehlinger, said,
“Our new Airbus A350s will make our fleet even more modern. This is a major investment, and a vital one to ensure that we continue to meet our customers’ high expectations. With these advanced twinjets and their innovative cabins, we’re bringing our long-haul aircraft fleet up to a totally new level of modernity, sustainability and inflight comfort for our guests.”
As previously mentioned, SWISS’ first new Airbus A350-900 will be delivered in summer 2025, with nine additional aircraft to be delivered gradually through the end of 2031. The new 'SWISS Senses' cabin interior will also take the guest’s air travel experience to a totally new level, with outstanding comfort and the latest features in all classes of travel. In the coming months, SWISS will finalizing which routes their new A350s will serve.
