TAAG Angola Airlines has today announced the signing of a new five year contract with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M). Under the agreement, the latter will provide Boeing 777 pool and repair component support.
On Tuesday (October 15, 2024), TAAG Angola Airlines announced the signing of a new five year contract with Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M). Under the new contract, AFI KLM E&M will provide TAAG with pool and repair component support, as well as Main Base Kit (MBK) for the carrier’s fleet of Three Boeing 777-200s and five 777-300s. TAAG Angola Airlines is the leading carrier in Angola, and currently serves 12 domestic and 13 international destinations.
In Tuesday’s announcement, TAAG Angola Airlines’ Chief Executive Officer, Nelson de Oliveira, said,
“We are pleased to partner with AFI KLM E&M, a trusted provider of MRO services. This 5-year agreement will ensure the reliable and efficient maintenance of our Boeing 777 fleet, which is crucial for our operations. We look forward for this continued fruitful relationship.”
Also commenting on the new maintenance contract, Air France Industries’ Executive Vice President, Géry Mortreux, added,
"We are thrilled to see today the renewal of this partnership with TAAG on their Boeing 777 fleet. We will continue to provide them with the highest quality pool and repair component support. And through this partnership we are also excited to deepen our footprint in Africa and expand our reach in the region.”
