On Tuesday (March 7, 2023), Tampa International Airport (TPA) announced that their TPA to Go mobile ordering system has now partnered with Uber Eats for another convenient ordering option. Now, in addition to the TPAtoGo.com website, or by scanning QR codes throughout the airport, customers can use the Uber Eats app or website to order food, beverages and other items in advance for pickup. The partnership includes 18 restaurants and four retailers, helping customers save time by avoiding lines. Please note, delivery within the airport is not an option, and the ordered items must be picked up by the customer.

In Tuesday’s announcement, Tampa International Airport’s VP – Concessions and Commercial Parking, Laurie Noyes, said,

“We’re thrilled that TPA travelers can now enjoy greater and more convenient access to our award-winning concessions program. Our partnership with Uber Eats is another way we’re elevating the guest experience by making shopping and dining at TPA easier and faster, which is a great value for our customers.”

Also commenting on the new partnership, Uber’s Head of Airports Business Development, Rob Mitchell, said,

“At Uber, we know how busy airports can be and that sometimes travel can be stressful. That’s why we’re excited to give travelers and folks who work at the airport a lot more convenience and a little less stress when they’re hungry by bringing Uber Eats skip-the-line mobile ordering technology at restaurant and retail locations at Tampa International Airport.”

TPA is now Uber Eats’ first official U.S. airport partner, after the program has worked successfully at Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) in Canada. The program was also piloted at John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) in Ohio and Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) in North Carolina.
