Vietjet Receives Two Additional Airbus A321neo ACF Aircraft

Vietjet received two more Airbus A321neo ACF’s today at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City. The 240 seat aircraft were thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and are prepared to takeoff during the peak Lunar New Year traveling peak.

On Monday (February 8, 2021), Vietjet announced the delivery of two new Airbus A321neo ACF aircraft which will join their young fleet in time for the peak lunar New Year holiday traveling season. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, the 240 seat aircraft were thoroughly cleaned and disinfected per government regulations. The A320neo ACF, which serves as the inspiration of the development of the new long-range models such as the A321LR, features a modern and spacious cabin and significant fuel burn and noise profile reductions, compared to previous generation models.


During 2020, Vietjet operated 78,462 flights with over 120,000 safe flight hours, carrying more than 15 million passengers. The company’s load factor stands at over 80 percent and the airline reports an on-time performance of more than 90 percent. Vietjet also has a technical reliability rate of 99.64 percent and the carrier was rated as one of the safest and best low-cost carriers by airlineratings.com in 2020. According to the company, Vietjet is one of the few airlines that retained all employees and also reported a profit for financial year 2020.
