Virgin Atlantic to Reopen New York JFK Clubhouse From July 19, 2021

Starting July 19, 2021, Virgin Atlantic Upper Class guests and Flying Club Gold members can once again enjoy the carrier’s award-winning New York-JFK Clubhouse. In partnership with the Plaza Premium Group, the club will offer an enhanced customer experience.

On Friday (July 16, 2021), Virgin Atlantic announced the reopening of their award-winning Clubhouse at New York-JFK from July 19, 2021. In partnership with the Plaza Premium Group, Upper Class guests and Flying Gold members will enjoy an enhanced customer experience. The Clubhouse will continue to offer its renowned hospitality, while adhering to enhanced health and safety measures. Access to Virgin Atlantic’s flagship North American lounge is also available to Delta Gold, Platinum and Diamond Medallion members, who will enjoy a complimentary a-la-carte menu featuring five-star dining, tapas dishes, and afternoon tea, accompanied by a range of cocktails, wine and soft drinks.


In Friday’s announcement, Virgin Atlantic’s Chief Customer and Operating Officer, Corneel Koster, said,


“We’re delighted to welcome customers back to our Clubhouse at New York JFK offering the signature Virgin Atlantic experience we know they have missed over the past 18 months. With the friendly faces of our Clubhouse team, enhanced health and safety measures at every touchpoint and our innovative food and beverage offering, we will ensure our customers fly safe and fly well.


“We look forward to expanding our partnership with Plaza Premium Group to our Clubhouses in North America and South Africa. Guests visiting Virgin Atlantic’s JFK Clubhouse in the morning will enjoy breakfast favorites such as eggs benedict, avocado on toast or a full English breakfast. Customers visiting later in the day can select popular dishes such as chicken Tikka masala or the famous vegan Beyond Burger, washed down by a selection of beverages, including the iconic Virgin Redhead cocktail.


As previously mentioned, Virgin Atlantic has partnered with Plaza Premium Group (PPG) for the day-to-day operations of the JFK Clubhouse under the guidance of the Virgin Atlantic team. The airline will also work with PPG for the Clubhouses in Boston, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and Johannesburg once they reopen.
