Volaris Launches New Service Between Miami International Airport and Monterrey, Mexico

Volaris has launched new service between Miami and Monterrey, Mexico, with the inaugural flight taking to the skies on Monday, April 7, 2025, following a special ribbon-cutting service at the airport.

On Monday (April 7, 2025), Miami International Airport (MIA) announced the launch of Volaris’ inaugural flight from MIA to Monterrey, Mexico. Prior to departure, a special ribbon cutting ceremony was held, which was attended by airline, airport, and government officials, among others. Monterrey becomes Volaris’ third destinations from Miami, joining Mexico City and Guadalajara. Additionally, the carrier’s subsidiary, Volaris El Salvador, also serves San Salvador and San Pedro Sula, Honduras from MIA.
In Monday’s Announcement, Miami Dade County’s Mayor, Daniella Levine Cava, said,
“Congratulations to Volaris on launching their new Monterrey flights and their continued expansion of service at MIA. Thanks to their growing presence in Miami-Dade County, our residents now have even more flight options to Mexico.”
