WestJet has launched their inaugural flight between Toronto Pearson and Grenada, expanding their Caribbean Network. The seasonal route will operate once weekly on Sundays through April 27, 2025.
On Sunday (December 15, 2024), WestJet celebrated the launch of inaugural service between Toronto Pearson and the Caribbean island of Grenada with the departure of flight WS25322 at 07:30 ET. Commemorating the occasion, WestJet and the Grenada Tourism Authority celebrated with live entertainment, giveaways and formal remarks gate side. The new seasonal route will now operate once weekly on Sundays through April 27, 2025. Guests traveling to Grenada will benefit from optimized flight times, allowing them to seamlessly connect from Canadian destinations across WestJet’s network. Additionally, WestJet Vacations has partnered with Sandals Grenada Resort and Spa and Royalton Grenada, allowing customers to book their travel and accommodations in a single transaction.
In Sunday’s announcement, WestJet’s VP – Network and Schedule Planning, Daniel Fajardo, said,

Also commenting on the nee route launch, the Grenada Tourism Authority’s CEO, Petra Roach, said,

Toronto Pearson Airport’s Interim Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Director of Customer Experience and Airline Relations, Kurush Minocher, added,
“We are pleased to see WestJet continuing to increase connectivity to the Caribbean from Toronto Pearson. This new route will provide travellers with direct access to another warm destination during cold months.”
With 28 years of service, WestJet has cut airfares for Canadians in half and increased the flying population around Canada by over 50 percent. The airline launched in 1996 with three aircraft, 250 employees and five destinations, and has now grown to more than 180 aircraft and 14,000 employees, offering service to over 100 destinations in 26 countries.
