Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will add another Airbus A321neo for summer 2023, expanding their fleet of the type to nine aircraft. The carrier is also launching new service to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and will resume flights to Larnaca, Santorini and Sohag.
On Tuesday (February 28, 2023), Wizz Air Abu Dhabi announced the addition of the ninth Airbus A321neo aircraft to their fleet for summer 2023. The carrier will also launch new service between Abu Dhabi and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and relaunch flights to Larnaca, Santorini and Sohag, Egypt. The new aircraft will also allow the carrier to increase frequencies from Abu Dhabi to Tirana, Yerevan, Baku, Alexandria, Kutaisi, Athens, Almaty, Astana, Sarajevo, Ankara, Tashkent and Samarkand.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi’s Managing Director, Johan Eidhagen, said,

The ninth aircraft will provide an additional thirty thousand ultra-low-fare seats per month, enabling us to expand our network with a plethora of incredible leisure, historic and cultural experiences making travel available for everyone. Our exciting expansion, in Bishkek and the re-launch of Larnaca, Santorini and Sohag showcase the strength and variety of our network. We will continue expanding our network throughout 2023, capitalizing on record growth last year, and we look forward to seeing you on board our new aircraft soon.”

Commencing operations January 2021, ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) Wizz Air Abu Dhabi currently serves nearly 40 destinations, including Alexandria (Egypt), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Amman (Jordan), Ankara (Turkey), Aqaba (Jordan), Athens (Greece), Baku (Azerbaijan), Belgrade (Serbia), Dammam (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait City (Kuwait), Kutaisi (Georgia), Manama (Bahrain), Male (Maldives), Muscat (Oman), Nur Sultan (Kazakhstan), Salalah (Oman), Santorini (Greece), Sarajevo (Bosnia), Sohag (Egypt), Tel-Aviv (Israel), Tirana (Albania) and Yerevan (Armenia) among others. The carrier operates a young fleet of eight new Airbus A321neo aircraft, expanding to nine for summer 2023.
